Thirty-seven years ago, I fell in love with a film festival.

Not just the films — though the films were everything. It was the world around them. The conversations at midnight. The accidental encounter with a director whose work you've followed for a decade. The feeling, walking down the Croisette at dusk, that cinema is alive and so are you.

I went back — and created The American Pavilion at Cannes: a space to converse, connect, and celebrate the best in international cinema — and over time, my own industry relationships, connections, and friendships grew. Along the way I learned what makes a festival experience extraordinary, and what leaves people feeling like they only caught a glimpse from the outside.

A wise five-year-old once said to me, “Mom…a good soldier never leaves a man behind.”

I never forgot that — and it’s part of what inspired Take2Film. Everyone is on the inside. No one left behind.

Take2Film offers expert-led experiences at the world’s most prestigious festivals — Cannes, Venice, San Sebastián, London. These aren’t tour packages. They’re immersions — built on insider access, cinephile depth, and the kind of local richness that only comes from a lifetime inside these worlds.

If you've ever wanted to experience a great film festival the way it was meant to be experienced, I’d love to take you there — from the inside.
